California Consumer Privacy Act Disclosures(For MangaPlaza users)
NTT Solmare Corporation (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) fully recognizes societal demands for the protection of personal information and believes that promotion of the proper handling of personal information is an important social responsibility it must fulfill.
In order to fulfill this responsibility and continue operating as a company with high credibility, the entire Company will strive to protect personal information based on the “NTT Group Information Security Policy” and the basic policy outlined below.
The Company may revise a part or all of the content of this privacy policy. If the policy is revised, the Company will make the revisions public by posting the updated content on this website, etc.
This Chapter provides explanations on the handling of customers’ personal data (the “Customer Data”) to customers who use the “MangaPlaza” service (the “Service”) provided by the Company. Please make sure to read this Chapter before using the Service.
If there is any difference or discrepancy between the content of Chapter 1 and this Chapter, the content of this Chapter shall prevail.
The Company will acquire the Customer Data listed below. The Customer Data to be acquired by the Company will include the information directly provided by customers and the information that is collected by the Company during the course of the use of the Service by customers. With respect to cookies and other similar means, customers are requested to confirm the cookie policy that is separately established by the Company.
The Company will use such information for the purposes specified below, based on the customer’s consent, performance of contracts or legitimate interest of the Company. The legitimate interest of the Company includes the maintenance and control of functions, the prevention of unauthorized use, and the improvement of the Service.
If customers refrain from providing all or a part of the Customer Data described in Section 2, the Company may not be able to perform the agreement to provide the Service, and thereby such customers may not be able to use the Service.
Only persons 18 years of age or older may use the Service. It is the intention of the Company that the Company will not collect any personal data from persons under 18 years of age.
The Company will retain the Customer Data as long as it is needed to provide customers with the Service and will erase it promptly when it becomes no longer necessary.
For the purposes described in Section 2, the Company will provide the Customer Data to the following third parties:
- The Company’s subcontractors (companies with the billing capacity for the Service, companies providing customer support services, cloud storage companies, and companies providing advertising/marketing analysis tools)
- Advertising partners allied with the Company
The Company operates the Service in Japan. In addition, the Company may install servers and other facilities for provision of the Service in third countries, including the United States of America. In addition, an entity receiving the provision of the Customer Data as described in Section 6 may be located in Japan or third countries including the United States of America.
The countries in which the Company handles the Customer Data may include a country that does not have personal data protection legislation equivalent to that of the country the relevant customers live in. In such case, the Company will take any appropriate measures required to protect the Customer Data in accordance with the requirements of applicable laws and regulations.
The Company complies with the applicable laws and regulations in order to prevent any unauthorized access to or divulgence of the Customer Data, to maintain the correctness of the Customer Data, and to dispose of it properly when necessary, and is committed to handling the Customer Data at a high level of information security. The Company encodes the communication when acquiring or transferring the Customer Data and puts limitations on the access privileges for the Customer Data stored, which is handled only by the individuals having a need in performing the duties. In addition, the Company makes a periodic review to ensure that the aforementioned efforts are made effectively and adequately and are made at a proper level.
If customers intend to exercise their rights in connection with their Customer Data (including the rights of access, correction, removal, limitation, data portability and objection, as well as the right to withdraw their consent) pursuant to the laws applicable to customers, please contact the Company at

The Company may amend this Privacy Policy on as needed basis in order to respond to amendments to the laws and regulations or in accordance with business needs, or in other circumstances. When making such amendments, customers will be notified of it through the Service or communication on our website.

If customers believe that the Company’s data processing infringes on the applicable laws, customers may lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority for data protection in their countries pursuant to the laws of their countries.
